On March 27, 2015, “Home Movie:The True Meaning of Smekday”, was officially released to US theaters and made over 386 million dollars in the box office. This movie is directed by Tim Johnson and it also stars Jim Parsons as Oh, Rihanna as Gratuity “ Tip” Tucci, Steve Martin as Captain Smek, Jennifer Lopez as Lucy Tucci, Matt Jones as Kyle, and Brian Stepanek as Gorg Commander.

“The Home” is based on the children’s book created by Adam Rex. The film is a 3D computer – animated science-fiction buddy comedy film “The Home Movie”. It’s directed by Tim Johnson, Chris Jenkins and Suzanne Buirgy are the producers, and the screenplay is by Tom J. Astle and Matt Ember.

The story line starts when after a hive-minded alien race called the Boov conquer the Earth, they relocate the planet’s human population. All except for a little girl named Tip, who’s managed to hide from the aliens. When Tip meets a fugitive Boov named Oh, there’s mutual suspicion. However, Oh is not like his comrades; he craves friendship and fun. As their suspicion fades, the pair set out together to find Tip’s mother, but unbeknown to them, the Gorg enemies of the Boov are en route.
You’ll have to see the movie to find out if they make it or not! This seems like a really good movie and I can’t wait to see it and find out if they make it!
