From the directors Andy and Lana Wachowski, “Jupiter Ascending”  is a fast-paced, action packed sci-fi movie that came out on February 6, 2015. For all you sci-fi fans, you’re probably thinking that since this movie stars both Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, it will be absolutely amazing. Unfortunately for you, many do not agree. According to rottentomatoes.com, only 47% of everyone who watched it in theaters enjoyed it, and out of 181 critics, only 23% of them believed that the movie was good. According to David Edelstein from the New York Magazine/Vulture, “ Jupiter Ascending is inane from first frame to last – the dialogue is so clunky, I wondered if George Lucas had been brought in to do the rewrite”.

The movie is about Juniper Jones (Mila Kunis) who was born with signs that her future would be filled with greatness. Unfortunately, she was just an ordinary person who had a ton of bad breaks and was cleaning houses for a living. Then, a genetically engineered hunter, Caine (Channing Tatum) shows up on earth looking for Juniper to make her realise her true destiny. Juniper happens to have genetics that make her next in line for an inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. This movie is rated PG-13 due to violence, suggestive comments, and partial nudity. Make sure that if you decide to watch it, your parents approve.

In my opinion, I believe that watching this movie would be interesting because it is a sci-fi and I happen to love sci-fi (and Channing Tatum). If you like the article or have any suggestions comment in the boxes below, we love to hear your opinions and what you want us to write about.
