On August 22, 2014, “If I Stay” was officially released to U.S. theaters and made 78.3 million dollars in the box office. This movie was directed by R.J. Culter and stars Chloe Grace Moretz as Mia, Jamie Blackley as Adam (Mia’s boyfriend), Jakob Davies as Teddy (Mia’s little brother), Liana Liberato as Kim (Mia’s best friend), Joshua Leonard as Denny (Mia’s father), Mireille Enos as Kat (Mia’s mother), and much more.

“If I Stay” is mostly based on a true story. It’s about a small family of 4 and they take a little trip to their grandparent’s farm and on they way there they collide with an oncoming truck. Mia has an out-of-body experience and starts seeing what’s happening with her little brother, Teddy, her mother, Kat, her father, Denny and herself. The paramedics that were trying to help her were saying the she was a critical patient. She tries to get answers out of the the people trying to help her but soon realizes that no one can hear her and she can only hear them.

They take the family to the hospital and Mia doesn’t know what’s happening with her family members. Since she’s technically “out of her body” she wanders around the hospital to try and find her family. While she was with her body getting emergency surgery she see’s some paramedics walking by with her father on a gurney. She soon finds out that her father died on the table while getting surgery and her mother was D.O.A (dead on arrival). If her and her brother were to survive they would both be orphan’s.

If you want to know what happens next, then I guess you’ll have to see the movie! It’s a very good movie and I definitely recommend it! If you see this movie in the future or have already seen it leave your opinion about it down it the comments. I’d love to see what you guys think!
