I am a 17-year-old girl

who has been through a lot

I have fought for my life

in ways you will not understand

I have grown incredibly

and come further than I ever imagined I would

 

I am a high school student

who may not be the smartest

I still do my best

in my schooling and my home life

I succeed in my own way

and have a bright future planned for me

 

I am a who I am

who I am is not your choice

I live my life

the way I see fit for me

I love and value every day

and am excited to see how my future will be

 

I am a proud mommy to be

who is excited to meet my son

February 25th is the date

my life will be forever changed

yes I am ready for the challenge

and so is his loving daddy
