Troubles in Milwaukee

Recently, Milwaukee, Wisconsin has been besieged by the violence of angry protesters. A Milwaukee officer  shot an African-American man who was reported to be Sylville Smith. It was said that  approximately of six businesses & multiple homes were set fire during this protest, as well as four officers injured during the process. The lighting of things and places, throwing of rocks and bricks, as well as gunshot were part taken. What is the reason for all this violence you may ask?

Smith was shot in the arm and chest when he failed to put his weapon down, along with the attempt of fleeing. His handgun was stolen, along with 500 rounds of ammunition during a burglary earlier this year. Smith’s gun was loaded with 23 rounds of ammunition, which was more than the officer obtained in his gun. Although Smith died on the spot, the unidentified officer, who has six years of service, but only three as an officer, was placed on administrative duty during this investigation.

This occasion has produced a racial outbreak along with a racial tension. Residences of Milwaukee have stated that Milwaukee seems to be the worst place for African-Americans to live in the United States. The people of Milwaukee, along with law enforcement, acknowledges these racial problems, but only some feel that reforms are needed. The Caucasian part of town is scared of the African-American/Latino parts & vice versa.

Has Milwaukee gone back in time with its way of living? Do these laws need to be reinforced & do they need to become a community once again? It all stands under their dispositions.
