The Granite Hills pep rally was a blast! It was full of loud playing music and funny moments! The biggest meaning of the pep rally was to find out the theme for Homecoming!
The pep rally started by the school’s band playing the national anthem while someone sang along to it over the speaker. While the band was playing and the guy was singing, everyone in the stands stood up and took their hats off untill anthem was over. When the crowd all sat down again, ASB and the seniors came out dancing in 60’s, 70’s and 80’s styled clothing, and they were having all sorts of fun, doing things such as; dancing, singing, and games.
After the people walked back to the back from dancing, they showed who was running for homecoming king and queen. There were about four couples, and each couple had a turn to walk across the little runway dancing while the guy on the speakers told the crowds their names, so students knew who to vote for, if they wanted to vote for Homecoming king and queen.
The pep rally was fun and exciting to everyone and Granite Hills High did a very good job with it. The crowd was under control, and it seemed like everything went as they planned it. If Granite continues to do pep rallies like this one, maybe people will be more excited to go!
My favorite part was when the Seniors came out dancing. I thought it showed school spirit and how they were all really excited about Homecoming.
