Sunday, August 17, The famous actor Morgan Freeman’s step-granddaughter was stabbed multiple times in her upper body until death. 33-year-old E’Dena Hines was lying in the street while and after being murdered around 3 a.m. By her boyfriend, Lamar Davenport. Lamar Davenport is 30 years old and is being charged with second-degree murder. Davenport was attempting to perform an exorcism on the victim.  Hines was taken to Harlem Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

One suspect who called and spoke to the police was George Hudacko. He said that he heard two screeches and looked out his window. He had seen a woman lying in the street and a man over her and that’s when he ran to the phone to call the cops. “ I heard the man say something about God, Jesus.” Hudacko did contact the police and they came to the scene immediately. Hines was killed near her apartment building.

Davenport was screaming: “ I cast you out devils! In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out!” as he attacked Hines. Police say Davenport has a history of abusing drugs and alcohol. A friend of Hines, Ray Rosario, a musician, Said that he had dinner with the couple right before the murder. “ I’ve never seen E’Dena as happy as she was last night.” Rosario tells CNN news reporters. We are not sure if Davenport was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, But he was taken to a hospital to be examined for psychiatric problems.
