Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy Split Up

    On Tuesday, August 4th, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy announced that they are “ Terminating their romantic relationship.” On their Facebook and Twitter  pages they said, “We will continue to work together on television and in all media known.” They say their lives will now be “Separate and distinct” And that they will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs and such. This fall, the two are starring in a series on ABC called “The Muppets.”  “It’s not easy. Its not as easy as being green, I’ll tell you that.” Kermit told the Guardian.

  They also seemed to be going at each other with comments about each other. “We can be professionals. Well, one of us can. Me.” Kermit added to his side of the story when talking to CNN entertainment.

Ms. Piggy says “Dating moi is like flying close to the sun.” and “ It was inevitable that Kermit would drop down to the ground while I stayed in the heavens.” Miss Piggy has also been on Twitter confirming the break up. She respond to a tweet about the break up and says “As much as moi loves a good Publicity stunt, this is not one!  Let your cute, single friends know, ‘kay?”

  It looks like it’s really over. After about 40 years of being together, they must not be in love anymore, Or maybe this could be getting the show some more attention. It does seem a bit suspicious that they just so happened to break up right before their show would air, and then still work together. Maybe they will get back together when the show airs and “Realize how much they love and miss each other.” I hope this will be the case, because Kermit and Piggy were supposed to outlast us all, and if their love isnt strong enough then who’s is, right?
