You’re Not Alone

I once felt alone

like no one was there

I didn’t see the ones

who truly did care

I pushed them away

I continued to hide

I lived life everyday

feeling dead inside

I hid how i felt

I caused myself pain

I was scared to admit

I didn’t feel sane

my heart grew weaker

as my thought got stronger

the battle was on

I was free no longer

i fought with myself

like a captive inside my head

                                I didn’t want help

I wanted to be dead

the thought of death

it grew more intense

I gave up on trying

my mom played defence

she battled and fought

there was no end

I never thought

that one day i’d mend

I’m strong now

and now I see

how hard it was

to let me be

my battle continues

but now I know

it’s never too late

to learn and grow

don’t give up on life

because it’ll hate you

one day will be the day

you’ll make it through
