GHHS Winter Sports Rally!

Our recent assembly was another sports rally. Hope you showed some Granite pride, Cougars. From cheer to a dance by our dance club, this rally was full of entertainment. Many club and sports teams were also recognised at the rally, like tennis and chess club. There was a fun game where randomly-chosen students from each grade had to find a lifesaver in a bowl of whipped cream, the sophomores won.

The teacher and students who are still eligible for It’s a gas to go to class” were shown some cheer. The teachers were asked to stand forward when their name was called, while we clapped and shouted excitedly. The students all had a chance to win gift cards from places like Target, Best Buy, and Starbucks, and the last gift card was given out with the most suspense. We had two amazing performances from not only our cheerleader,s but also from our dance club for the first time. A number of students stated that it was so cool that they wanted to join dance club.

More clubs were recognized at the rally, like the soon to be Chess Club. The members of the clubs came down and introduced themselves and the club itself. Our sports teams were also out and about.  ASB did a nice job on decorating the gym for all the sports teams and clubs. Posters and the little treat they gave each of the clubs corresponded with the association, like the French Club had a flag with a mustache.

Overall, the sports rally was a major success and everyone enjoyed it.
