The semester is almost over Granite, you know what that means? Testing. Whether it be in math or english you will have some kind of final. Are you worried? Did you just forget everything you learned this year so far? Don’t worry, we’ve got you. Here are some tips to make things easier!
Make sure you read every question carefully.
When taking a test, it may seem like you need every second, but do not rush it. Take your time and read the questions thoroughly. There has been plenty of times where I rushed and misread the question. This also gives you a chance to read all answers carefully.
Believe it or not, studying helps.
Your teacher may have given you a study guide or at least told you what the test will be about. Use this information to your advantage. Give yourself plenty of time to study. Remember, it took you all this time to learn the subject and it should take some time to review it.
Eating breakfast.
Nothing is worse than trying to take a test while your stomach is singing like a whale. It distracts you from concentrating on the test. Also, you will need energy and so will your brain. Where do you think you get that energy? Some people can’t eat in the morning, they’ll either feel sick or are just not hungry. If you’re like this, then just bring something light that won’t mess with you during your test.
Take notes
Most of the time, teachers repeat what is going to be on the test. Take advantage of that and write it down, even if it is not on the notes. There are also some times where teachers have an open note test. If you have taken nice notes, than the test may be easier.
Taking tests can be scary, but being prepared can help relieve some of the stress. So take consideration into trying some of the tips.
