Staff Members of the Week for November 16!

Mr. Shaub is a campus security assistant who has been to Granite since it has opened. When Mr. Shaub was asked on how he felt about being nominated for staff member of the week, he remarked, “I didn’t know about it ‘till yesterday so it’s pretty cool.” Mr. Shaub has been patrolling the grounds of Granite Hills for 16 years and 2 years prior at Apple Valley High School. When asked what his message for the student body, Mr. Shaub replies with, “Come to school, take care of your business, have a good time while you have the chance to enjoy it.” Mr. Shaub also helps with coaching and supervising SAT and ACT exams. Thanks for all that you do!

Teacher of the week goes to Ms. Gonzales, a Spanish teacher here at Granite Hills. Although we never got the chance to interview her, we knew that besides from teaching Spanish, Ms. Gonzales actively helps with the choir. She graduated from UCLA, her children attend Granite Hills and she is also the department chairperson of World Language. Ms. Gonzales also helps to run our SAT and ACT test program. She is an original member of the GHHS staff, and has also taught at AVHS and in Whittier. Senora Gonzales is an integral member of the staff, and we appreciate her dedication, expertise, and effort!
