These days the world revolves around Internet and technology, and most teenagers are used to it and know how to use them.  Do you think that the time they spend on the internet affects how much homework they’re doing or how their grades are?

I believe that teenagers do spend quite a bit of their time surfing the internet rather than doing what they’re supposed to do, such as homework and school work. If the students don’t get their school work done and get off the internet long enough to do it, I don’t believe that they will pass all of their classes and get a diploma.

Some students just want to be the ‘cool kids’, and not do their work just to show to their friends that they are cool, but graduating does make you pretty cool. Always being online doesn’t make you cool, no matter how much you think it does. Also, students, you don’t need to be the ‘cool kids’ or the ‘too cool for school’ kids because in the end, all that matters is you standing with your class and getting that diploma. It’s okay to be on the internet sometimes, but you can’t let it take over your life and be on it all day. As long as you do what you’re supposed to do, that’s all that matters.

How do you think technology is affecting your children’s grades? Do you think its lowering them? Also, if you’re a parent, how much time do you allow your child/children to be on the internet? Please give us some feedback below in the comments section.
